I held down regular jobs once upon a time and it wasn't pretty. But these days trying to keep afloat, paying for health insurance, homes, kids and all that 21st century entertainment sometimes requires the security of the guaranteed paycheck - and the shackling that comes with it. The Drone knows all about it. If you're in the comments section scroll down to the bottom to post.
A friend of mine was talking about taking a series of photographs at an event - but there was this reason, that, and another why he wasn't sure if he was actually going to do it. Par for the course, really, getting over the various humps to get it together to make a piece of art. Everything from the initial insecurity to the sad depressing thought that you might end up embarrassing yourself. This April, the Saint of the Month Club presents Saint X with a few scientific facts on the artistic process. Thanks to Chuck Pearly of the late, great and sadly lamented Le Pescadou, for the voice over.
Welcome to the Saint of the Month Club. After five years (and more) of making Saints I finally got it together to archive them all. Wander around if you've got some time. Click on pictures or names to the see the Saints in their animated glory. You can search by category, clicking on the years or the individual Saints. You'll also find cross referencing, related pictures, behind-the-scenes tidbits, more links than you have time to look at and a tip jar if you want to drop in a shekel or two to support the Saints. A thank you to all the folks that have appeared as Saints or helped me with concepts, make-up, costuming, sets, music or anything else.
The only difference between the saint and the sinner is that every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future. -Oscar Wilde
Valentine's Day was always more intense for me when I wasn't actually hooked up with someone. When you're dating or married, it can seem pretty sentimental with all the champagne and flowers hype - but when you're alone, it's bleak. So this Valentine's day remember the un-hooked up at the Lonely Hearts Club.
