Santa Lily

Lily lives in Milan. She is half Jewish and half Italian. Her middle name is Rose and her last name in Bigi. She can draw like a fiend and she has a cat named Figaro. She sure likes to laugh at funny jokes and it's pretty cool to be her Uncle.

Hopscotch McGee

Ever since I went to high school in downtown Philadelphia I've had a thing for crabby, old, unshaven bums; spitting, drinking and complaining about the world. Maybe if I had been the offspring of a toothless prostitute and a one-legged railroad man I would've been like Hopscotch McGee.

Saint Bobby B.

Don't even think about messing with the Man, because he's Bobby B. 

San Paolo

Paolo arrives at the bittersweet end to summer.

Saint Billie

Saint Billie is Tahira Harper, a Golden Gloves boxer and illustrator. Saint Billie is also an homage to Russian Constructivism and the work ethic, because if you don't get up off your ass, you'll never get anything done. Thanks to my sister Annie Gosfield for the clangy industrial music.

Saint Petra

Saint Petra is a 60's-style beauty who designs clothes (including what you see here). She's in Gaijin a Go Go, a mostly Occidental band, playing like a Japanese pop band, imitating an American pop band. Saint Petra rolled out in late summer 2003, as some of use were beginning to get 9-11-fear-mongering fatigue. Her message is more or less; if things are going to hell in a hand basket you might as well have a good time.

Saint X (Redux)

Saint X makes a return engagement with a few words of wisdom for the aging hipsters who are hitting the half century mark.

The Anti-Saint

Q: If the definition of a Saint is: A person of exceptional holiness or A model of excellence or perfection having no equal; then what would its opposite be? A: The Anti-Saint

Saint Bernard

Saint Bernard gets political with his take on the 2003 pre-war hysteria, fear-mongering and domestic shock and awe. In retrospect, everyone now knows that it was mostly hype.
